I grew up in a neighborhood where most of the kids around my age are a fan of Hip-hop in Cembo Makati City. You can see most of my piece in Palanan Makati. I became hooked with arts / graffiti because of Hip-Hop. I never had a formal training with Arts, but the streets where my training ground.

I am Rex Manalo a.k.a. Deep a graffiti artist and a pioneer member Pinoy Bomber Crew (PBC), one of the earliest graffiti crew in the Philippines.

I started writting graffiti when I was 13 years old, but this was more on the side of vandalism. during my highschool days, I met Ripe, Poser and S-type who introduced me to the world of graffiti which was still recognized as vandalism before. On the early age of graffiti in the Philippines we got the chance to be invited to Unang Hirit and The Correspondence. This was the time when the graffiti community started to grow.

2009 when priorities started to catch up and beefs with other artist / writters became a way to be known and legal walls only lasted for a week, I took a break from the scene and focused more on my personal life.

Fast forward 2018, after settling down with my wife and having to gain financial stability, the love for arts and graffiti found its way back to me, as a promising new member of the crew happens to be living just a few blocks away from where my wife's family is residing. This gave me the opportunity to bounce back and do what I loved to do. Little did I know that doing what I love most in a consistent way would bring you closer to your dreams.
